Tom was in the motor trade, from a very young age Tom had always been fascinated with cars and bikes and his parents knew that when he left school he would go into the motor trade. They were pleased for him as no matter what the rest of the economy was like people always wanted cars and the motor trade would never die.
Tom's company took off big time and within a couple of years he decided to expand the business into insurance, so not only could people come and buy a car from him but they could get their insurance at the same time, this also gave Tom the opportunity when business was a little slow to do some good deals for his customers, owning both the car business and the insurance business he could sell someone a car and throw in a years insurance with it, not many other car companies did such a good deal as this one, Tom was very proud of himself for what he had achieved he had come along way from his younger days of being known as the piper's son, he was now a business man in his own rights.
The other day Tom had received a call from his brother Jack, who had asked him if he would look after his skip business for him for a week while he took his wife Jill away on a much deserved holiday. Tom and Jack had always been there for each other so without hesitation Tom had agreed to help.
Tom took two weeks off from his own business and left it in the very capable hands of his manager Peter, he needed the two weeks even though Jack and Jill were only going away for one week there was not much that Tom knew about Jack and Jill's skip for hire business so he had decided to go in a week early so that Jill could give him some instruction on how to run the business while they were away.
The week of instruction went brilliantly, Jill was very good at training people and each instruction she gave Tom was very clear so nothing could be misunderstood, this gave both Tom and Jill peace of mind so that when Jack and Jill went away Tom knew he could cope and most importantly Jack and Jill knew he could cope and would be able to relax and enjoy their short trip away.
